Cameroon - Coalition: *EVERYTHING TO KNOW ABOUT THE FOUMBAN MEETING*
Since the evening of Saturday August 2, 2025, many comments and analyzes have been made both in the cottages and on the traditional media and Social Medias, around what constitutes the major political event of last weekend and which will enter the political history of our country under the name of the FOUMBAN MEETING.
These comments and analyzes are very important in terms of their number and their quality and fall within the norm of things regarding a large-scale political event carried out in a particular context, sanctioned by a very strong commitment and crowned by the anointing of the most authentic and worthy traditional authority of our country in my humble opinion.
However, it emerges from these comments and analyses, many untruths and confusions which push me, in my capacity as responsible for the Minutes of this Meeting, to make this outing so that the truth and the whole truth is known not only about the Foumban Meeting, but in general, on the Dynamics of the Consensual Candidature.
I. The Foumban Meeting aimed to affirm and consolidate the dynamic of the Consensual Candidacy of the Forces of Change for the Election of the President of the Republic on October 12, 2025, and to reinforce its openness to all political organizations, Civil Society and all personalities truly committed to the Pacific Alternation through the Ballot Boxes in our country;
II. She was aware of the effective presence of the following political groups and candidates, personally present or duly represented, in alphabetical order:

1. The CNCM of Candidate Dr BOUHGA HAGBE Jacques, Personally Present;
2. The FSNC of Candidate Issa TCHIROMA Bakary, represented by a strong delegation of three officials who are 1. Ms. NSOGA, SG of the FSNC, 2. Mr. KARAMOKO Souleyman, 3. Mr. DJAFSIA TARA;
3. The PAL of Candidate ATEKI SETA, represented by the National President of the PAL, SM Célestin BEDZIGUI;
4. The PURS of Candidate Serge Espoir MATOMBA, personally present and accompanied by a strong delegation of executives from this Party including Mr. LOMBO EBALA Bruno and Mrs. SIKE NDOUMBE Diane;
5. The UDC party of the Honorable Candidate TOMAINO NDAM NJOYA, personally present and accompanied by the Honorable KOUPIT Adamou and Mr. MONGWAT Amadou Ahijo;
6. UNIVERSE of the Candidate Me AKERE MUNA, personally present and in the company of the National President of this Party, Pr MKOU MVONDO Prospère;
7. MP of the Candidate Hilaire DZIPANG, who is one of the founders of the Dynamics of the Consensual Candidature, but whose presence at the Foumban meeting was prevented at the last minute by an interpellation linked to his memoir against the attack on his candidacy before the Constitutional Council.
8. The UNDP of the Candidate, Minister of State BELLO BOUBA MAIGARI, was not physically there but the Candidate Minister of State BELLO, who was held by a restrictive agenda, sent a beautiful letter signed by himself, expressing all his solidarity and his support for this dynamic and the resolutions to sanction the Foumban meeting.
Two political parties not having candidates accepted at this stage of the process took part in the Foumban Meeting. These are the UPC represented by its SG, Dr. BALEGUEL NKOT and the USDP represented by its National President, Prince EKO EKOSSO.
The SDF, whose Candidate the honorable Joshua Osih, Chairman of this Party, sent a correspondence in which he said he could not take part in the meeting for two reasons, the first of which is that the Constitutional Council has not yet resolved the appeals submitted to the Constitutional Council in the context of the pre-electoral dispute and the second is that such a meeting should be held in Yaoundé, the headquarters of the Institutions.
III. The Foumban Meeting was not intended to decline the Consensual Candidate which will only be made the day after the publication of the final list of Candidates at the end of the hearings of the Constitutional Council on the pre-electoral dispute, in order to include the other candidates who will be rehabilitated and even those who have not been and will continue the fight for change within the framework of this dynamic; it laid the foundations of the Common Minimum Program for the Refoundation of the Country and its institutions and Power Sharing which will then be agreed to be complete in this winning strategy.
IV. The Foumban meeting is the 3rd held within the framework of the Dynamics of the Consensual Candidature of the Forces for Change. The second was held at the residence of Combatant NJEUKAM TCHAMENI in Yaoundé last Wednesday and the first, whose declaration is considered the founding act of the Consensual Candidature Dynamics of the Forces of Change, was held on July 5, 2025 at YAOT Hotel in Yaoundé and had the presence of the following political parties:
1. The FSNC of Minister Candidate Issa TCHIROMA, personally present;
2. Candidate's MP Hilaire DZIPANG, personally present;
3. The PAL of the Candidate which at the time had not yet held its investiture congress and which was represented by its National President, SM Célestin BEDZIGUI;
4. The UDC of the Honorable Candidate TOMAINO NDAM NJOYA personally present;
5. The UMS of the Honorable Candidate Pierre KWEMO represented by a delegation of three officials including the Vice-President and the Mayor of Bafang;
6. The USDP represented by its National President, Prince EKO EKOSSO.
V. In reality, these Candidates and Political Leaders, aware of the fact that time is now against us and will go even faster after the final verdict of the Constitutional Council, have decided to begin work which remains fundamentally inclusive and which should only lead to the intermediate objective sought, namely the choice of the Consensual Candidate and the adoption of the Common Minimum Program, when all appeals to the Constitutional Council have been resolved and all the Forces of Change, Candidates, non-Candidates, Political Parties, Civil Society Organizations, Personalities who so desire, can at will engage in this Dynamic which is not only strongly claimed by the Sovereign People, but also stands out as the best strategy to effectively achieve the final objective which is the VICTORY OF THE OPPOSITION IN THE NEXT PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF OCTOBER 12, 2025.
VI. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THE CONSENSUAL CANDIDATURE DYNAMICS OF THE FORCES FOR CHANGE INTENDS TO GO BEYOND THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION BY EXTENDING TO OTHER FUTURE ELECTION DEADLINES WHERE ITS MEMBERS SHOULD CONTINUE TO SHARING THEIR FORCES, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND LOGISTICAL MEANS TO WIN THE MAJORITY OF SEATS IN THE NATIONAL AND COMMUNITIES ASSEMBLY IN OUR COUNTRY.
